What Should I Wear?

-Do Co-ordinate, but DO NOT wear matchy-matchy outfits. Pick a few complimentary colors and carry them throughout the family's outfits.

-Dont wear all white. Wearing all white can easily wash out many skin tones

-Wear Accessories. Wearing accessories is your chance to add a pop of personality into your photos. Think jewelry, scarves, hair accessories, belts, etc.

-Avoid clothes with wording or logos. Wearing clothes that have logos or words will bring the eye right to the offending article of clothing. You want as much attention as possible to be on your beautiful smiles. However, there are a few exceptions. If you are taking pictures in your favorite team gear, or if the wording has a lot of meaning to you then this might be an exception to the rule.

-Think about using layers. Wearing layers is the perfect way to hide problem areas. Cardigans, blazers, sweaters, etc. It can also be used to introduce new colors, or coordinating patterns into your photos. Layers look great in pictures!

-If you arent comfortable, think again. If you dont feel 110% comfortable in something you are wearing, think again and find something that makes you feel great. Feeling any less than perfect will translate to and be visible in your photos. If you have a problem area you would like to hide, think layers. (read above).

-Last but not least, DONT FORGET THE SHOES! Dont forget to think about your shoes! Wearing the wrong shoes can throw off the whole picture. No tennis shoes for guys, unless it fits the theme of your pictures :)

-Wear Make-up slightly heavier than normal.  High contrast is the goal when it comes to eye makeup. If you normally wear little to no eye makeup i would suggest black mascara and eyeliner at minimum. Darkening the creases of your lids with eyeshadow can add definition and depth to your eyes. Adding a hint of blush or bronzer can help you from looking pale or faded out in pictures! The camera tends to take off a layer of makeup, so what feels like a tiny bit too much on a normal day will end up looking more natural in a photo.
